Das gibt einen Novemberlaunch à la PS2 mit viel zu geringen Stückzahlen. Dass sie nur in "selected territories" in Amerika und Europa launchen werden, ist ja schon bestätigt. Da kann MS anschliessend immerhin verkünden, dass ihr "initial shipment" in einem Tag komplett ausverkauft war

Dass die Demos nicht einmal auf Devkits mit der entsprechenden Konsolenhardware, sondern auf hundsgewöhnlichen High-End-PCs (mit Nvidia-GraKas ) liefen, ist weniger als ein halbes Jahr vor dem Launch jedenfalls alles andere als ein gutes Zeichen (die PS4-Demos liefen afaik auf Devkits). Deckt sich aber mit den Meldungen über Fertigungsprobleme des CPU/GPU/eSRAM-Chipsatzes

Just wow. Get ready for me to tear it a new one, I'm not holding back.

After months of Microsoft executives just giving the fans a piece of their own mind, especially with the now popular Microsoft born meme "Deal With It!", President of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Don Mattrick, or as one of the fans on twitter called him "aka Complete Ass", was interviewed by Captain Dorito Geoff Keighley to address the fans concerns over the XBOX One's DRM policies. If you don't know these policies will not only restrict gamers from purchasing used games, renting or lending them off friends, but the fact that the console will need to connect to the internet once every 24 hours to verify the authenticity of your game purchase and to enable the feature of your console to be able to play your games.

If you've literally just heard that one, that's correct, you read right, the XBOX One will need users to connect to the Internet to play games on their console. So for anyone who does not have Internet out there, don't bother. That's the message Mr. Ass.. uhh I mean Mattrick has sent to XBOX fans and gamers in general.

The GameTrailer's presenter asked Mattrick about his thoughts on the negative response the console has been given over social media and why he thinks that. Mattrick told Keighley today that "We knew what we had to share [at the reveal a couple weeks ago] the vision of the box that we're creating, some of the features and functionalities and what it means to design something for the next decade, and people are looking at it and they're trying to imagine what experience it will provide and they haven't had a chance to use it yet".

So in lame terms here, Mattrick is telling us that, you haven't got it yet, so don't judge it? Yeah, okay buddy. I think we've heard all that we need to know... oh there's more? He continued "Some of the advantages you get of having a box that is designed to use in an online state and to me is a future proof choice, and I think people could have gone the other way if we didn't do it and fortunately we have a product for people that aren't able to get some form of connectivity and it's called XBOX 360".

This is the part where I love Geoff Keighley. Keighley asked Mattrick "So, stick with 360? that's you're message?" Mattrick tries to justify himeslf with responding simply with "Well if you have Zero access to the internet, that's an online device, I mean seriously, when I read the blogs and thought about who's really the most impacted, there was a person who said "hey i'm on a nuclear sub" and I don't even know what it means to be on a nuclear sub, but I can imagine it being hard to get an Internet connection."



So there you have it, XBOX Fans. They care, they really care.

De vom Customer Support mit irgendeme Typ us Pole (wo d'Konsole zum Launch nöd wird laufe) isch au super. Han de Link grad nöd, aber im Grosse und Ganze isch d'Antwort sinngemäss: "Nöd euses Problem."

Ich frög mich eifach, woher MS d'Arroganz und das Sälbstbewusstsii für die Nummere härnimmt. Sie übertrumpfed inzwüsche ja sogar Sony zu ihrne 599$/Riiiidge Racer/Krazy Ken Kutaragi-Ziite. Aber während bi Sony im Jahr 2006 das immerhin no nahvollziehbar gsi isch, will sie mit de PS2 ja alli bisherige Verchaufsrekörd gschlage und öppe 70% Märtateil gholt händ, isch MS mit em 360er trotz eim Jahr Vorsprung und em PS3-Debakel nume uf em dritte Platz glandet. Und dänn tüends eso, als wäreds de absolut unagfochteni Märtfüehrer, wo unigschränkt de Branche chan de eigeni Tarif duregäh. Woher chunnt das? Läbt s'ganze MS-Management würklich in ere Blase?

Schade nur, dass mich die Exklusiv-Titel für One bisher ungefähr zehn mal so stark interessieren wie die der PS4. Na ja, Sony-Konsolen hatten noch nie ein gutes Start-Lineup, gute Spiele kommen ganz automatisch mit der Zeit.

Kann man v.a. zur Zeit nur schwer vergleichen, da MS praktisch das ganze Pulver für 2014 (und 2015 ) schon verschossen hat bzw. verschiessen musste, während Sony da vieles noch gar nicht angekündigt hat (bzw. es auch gar nicht nötig hatten). Wenn ich das richtig sehe, wissen wir von zahlreichen Sony 1st Party-Studios noch gar nicht, woran die arbeiten.
