EA rep confirmed that there is no console-only crossplay. If crossplay is on, the matchmaking will prioritize matching the player with other console players, though PC players will also be in the matchmaking pool. PC players do not have the option to disable crossplay.

If a console player disables crossplay on console, the game will only match you with players on the same platform PS5 vs. PS5, Xbox Series vs. Xbox Series). This also means you won’t be able to squad up with players from other platforms.
