Even If I'm selling the rarest piece the price it really seems to be legit. And the others one about 20.- the whole batch would be around 1400 - 2000.-

Some friends of mine who are collectors like you tell me I should sell it about 30$ piece

I tink it's a bit difficult to find a buyer, because....

... you don't even own this batch at the time
... every time someone gives you an offer you will say stuff like "someone told me game xy is very rare" etc

make sure the games are not copies, come back when you own all the stuff, be realistic
after that you'll get fair offers

on a batch like this you need to discount the sum of the single game prices by 50% to 70%. Usually a buyer (retro game store) needs to make money out of it. make the math if you have a salary of 100chf/h gross.

additionally many games are no worth more then 1chf to 5chf.

collectors often mix their private value with the real value of a game.

e.g. "I bought this game for 300$ ansd have been looking for it for for 3 years, that means its worth at least 500$." But with ebay its easier to find these games and it can be found there perhaps for 100$, and auctions typically end at 50$. So the value is 50$.

Bundles have to be 50%-66% cheaper than single sold. so it's worth in the bundle is then 20$.

Does the owner know that he has some "rare" games in his collection?
Is it a friend of you or a stranger?
Be care full if you buy something from someone who doesn't know about the real value but you as buyer know the real value and you try to make him understand that his collection doesn't has any value

A global answer on your request is difficult to give. It is depending on many
factors. I will write for the howl collection...


I would say that probably:
48 games of this collection are around 5.- and 10.- chf
10 games around 20-30 chf
6 games around 50-70.- chf
(if in good / very good condition and complete). And also depending in what language are this games. I think that a swiss german doesn’t really appreciate an RPG in French.

At all maximum 1000.- chf to negotiate and to sell around 700.- / 800.- chf (depending of the buyer).

Of course if you sell/buy only some parts of the collection via on-line (forum/auctions) you get/pay a better price but you will have a lot of work to describe every single game. It is also a way of fun as it belongs to the hobby of gamer but unfortunately not everyone has this time
